Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These are the rules for using Clipstar. They are meant to be readable: what you can do, what we do, what we both expect, and what happens when something goes wrong.
1.Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Clipstar (clipstar.io) and anything we offer through it. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to the AI content policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use Clipstar for a company or team, you confirm you can bind it to these Terms, and “you” includes it.
2.The service
Clipstar lets you describe a niche and have AI write, voice, illustrate, caption and render short videos in a consistent series, review them, and publish them on a schedule to channels you connect (such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram).
We keep improving the service and may add, change or remove features. Some features may be in an early stage and labelled as such. We will give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on, unless the law, security or a third party forces a faster change.
3.Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or older where the law of your country requires it.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One account is for one person or team.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and devices secure. Tell us promptly at support@clipstar.io if you suspect misuse.
4.Credits and payments
Making videos costs credits, spent step by step. A whole episode costs 12 credits at the time of writing, and new accounts start with 60 free credits. If a step fails on our side, the credits for that step are returned and it can be retried from that step.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are only for use in Clipstar.
- We may change prices and what a step costs. A change never affects credits you have already spent.
- When paid packs are available, you authorise us (and our payment provider) to charge the price shown, plus any taxes. Unless the law says otherwise, purchases are final and used credits are not refunded.
5.Your content and what we generate
Your inputs are the descriptions, characters, notes, edits and other material you give us. You keep your rights in them, and you promise you have the right to use them and that they do not break the law or anyone’s rights.
Generated output is the scripts, voices, images, captions and videos we make for you. As between you and us, you may use the output for your own purposes, including commercially, subject to these Terms, the terms of the AI providers behind the service and applicable law. AI output may not be unique and may resemble output made for others, and copyright protection for AI-generated material varies by country; we make no promise that you will own any rights in it.
You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and display your inputs and output only so we can run the service for you (including sending them to the AI providers and platforms involved) and keep it safe. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups and copies we must keep by law.
6.AI content policy
You are responsible for every series you create and every video published from your account. You must not use Clipstar to make or publish:
- Anything illegal, or anything that sexualises minors, in any form.
- Realistic depictions of a real person saying or doing something they did not, without their clear permission (deepfakes), or content that impersonates a person or organisation to mislead.
- Hateful or harassing content, threats, or content that glorifies violence or self-harm.
- Deceptive content about health, elections, finance or emergencies, or spam, scams and fake engagement.
- Material that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Malware, or content meant to harm or get around the rules of a platform or of our service.
Disclosure. Platforms require realistic AI-generated or altered content to be labelled, and some laws do too. Each series has an AI disclosure setting; you must keep it on wherever a platform or law requires it, and you stay responsible for labelling what you publish.
Review and Autopilot. In Review mode you approve every episode before it is scheduled. In Autopilot mode episodes that pass our automatic quality check are scheduled without your review. That check is not a legal or policy review. Choosing Autopilot means you accept responsibility for what is posted. We may block or remove content that breaks this policy.
7.Connected channels and platforms
When you connect a channel you authorise Clipstar to publish and schedule on your behalf, and only what you approve or have set to Autopilot. You must follow each platform’s terms and community rules, such as the YouTube Terms of Service. You can disconnect at any time from the Channels screen, or by removing access in the platform itself.
Platforms make their own decisions. We are not responsible if a platform removes content, limits reach, withholds monetisation, or restricts or suspends your channel, and we cannot promise views, followers or income.
8.Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break the law or these Terms, or help anyone else to.
- Probe, scan or test the service’s security, overload it, or get around limits, credits or access controls.
- Scrape, copy or resell the service, its output at scale as a competing service, or its underlying models.
- Reverse engineer or try to extract source code, except where the law allows it.
- Use another person’s account or share yours.
9.Our rights
The service, its software, design, name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms give you the right to use the service, not to own any part of it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
10.Suspension and ending
You can stop using Clipstar and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to support@clipstar.io. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where we reasonably can, if you break these Terms, put others or the service at risk, or the law requires it.
When your account ends, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, payments owed, disclaimers, liability, and the sections on law and disputes) do. Unused free credits are lost.
11.Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, that AI output will be accurate, original, suitable or free of mistakes, or that any platform will accept your content. You are responsible for checking your videos before they go live.
12.Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, audience, data or goodwill, even if we were told it might happen. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13.If someone makes a claim because of you
You will defend and compensate us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party because of content you gave us or published through the service, or because you broke these Terms or the law. This does not apply where a consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
14.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will tell you in advance, for example by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it; if you do not, you can stop and delete your account.
15.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of Clipstar is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and its courts have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply. Please write to support@clipstar.io first; most issues can be settled informally.
